We believe…

…that outdoor education, experiential learning, and summer camps empower youth, build their sense of confidence, and allow them to find new communities. By bringing kids safely out of their comfort zones and exposing them to achievable challenges in the outdoors, To the Top has helped more than one hundred students grow into confident and embolden young adults.

Our goal at To The Top is to increase access to the world of outdoor adventure and experiential education by reducing burdensome financial barriers.

Part of a Family

Throughout life I have often struggled socially and have felt as if I don't really have a social group, but by creating life long friends through this program, I know that no matter where I am or how far away they are, I am ALWAYS a part of the Apogee family. I also gained the confidence to join my high school cross-country team, where I feel that I have finally found my place in school. *My world has been completely changed-for the better - and I really can't thank Apogee or the To The Top Foundation enough. *

Students’ confidence skyrockets when they are able to achieve goals even when brought outside of their comfort zones. We are in the business of helping students build their independence and confidence in themselves.

Our partner programs facilitate exceptionally planned and executed trips. To The Top grant recipients take part in programs that are designed to help them achieve what they might have previously though was impossible.

Our hope is for each student to leave their summer experience feeling like they were truly part of a family. Our partner programs strive to create a deep sense of community on each program. We want students to find their place among their peers and develop lasting relationships that extend far beyond the summer.

The outdoor and camp industry has historically been a exclusive space to a small subset of people. To the Top is working to break down the financial access barriers to help lower income and other marginalized communities participate in these incredible experiences.
